Lately I've been hearing alot about "thigh gap". You know, the gap that may or may not between your thighs when you put your feet/knees together. Apparently it's the thing to have. Girls seem to be going to extremes to get thigh gap, and it just doesn't seem healthy. Some of the people I work with have expressed their disgust at the idea of this being popular. I thought maybe it should be something to write about.
Let's look at the truth, some people will have a space between their thighs no matter what. Even guys (which apparently is not exactly something to be proud of if you are male who knew?). This has more to do with body structure than actual thinness. Some people are naturally slender, some have wider hips allowing for more separation, and some might even be bow-legged; these particular people can't help having that gap and sometimes get a great amount of criticism for being "too thin" BECAUSE their thighs don't touch. To be clear, I don't want to pick on those who are naturally slender. I do want to make a point that trying to be overtly slender so their thighs don't touch, so their collarbones stick out a bunch, or so their hip bones protrude excessively is not healthy. Be happy with who you are and how you are built. My thighs will always touch, I am okay with them. My legs are strong as is the rest of my body. A strong physique maintains better than one that is forced to be thin.
Below are some women who are strong, healthy, and gorgeous!
You don't have to be dangerously thin to be beautiful, strong looks fabulous on everyone!
